This was a extra duel as you could see, and the winner is Kaiphranos (Norman).
Congratulations on your victory!
He was up against Peter, who is always in to a nice duel.

Thanks both for this extra duel, it was fun for sure!

Peter's minotaur is one of the best figures I have even seen. The red eyes lend it an especial air of menace, the flesh parts are well executed, and the apparel thoughtfully detailed.

That said, I had to vote for Norman's entry because it is a masterpiece. The cow-like coloring of the figure is a super creative idea, perfected by sublime layering and transitions. Great job to both!!

I've voted for Peter because better muscle readability and shading of blue clothing.
Congratulations to Kaiprhanos.
Great duel guys.

Both entries were of the highest quality and I think a draw would have been the perfect result! And a great choice of figures to paint.

Thanks Peter for the duel, and to all who voted! I like how Peter's version of the figure brings out the half-man, half-beast nature of the creature!

It was also a very difficult choice for me. Both figures are masterfully painted, with a lot of detail and precision.

Finally, what made me vote for Kaiphranos' figure was its more "animal" aspect, as Peter's seemed too "human" to me.

In any case, my sincere congratulations to both of you, you have proved (once again) to be two great painters.

Santi.

Each piece has it's own unique qualities and choosing would be tough. Both are done to a very high standard. Well done gentlemen! I'm partial to those hand wraps of leather, they really stand out.

I was too late to vote, fortunately perhaps because that would have been very difficult. Both are very good in their own different style. Congratulations to both Peter and Kaiphranos.
I immediately knew that "let the beast go" was Peter's because this was a well-known statement by former Belgian Prime Minister Jean-Luc Dehaene when he was riding a mechanical bull during a visit to the USA in the 1990s.
