Best sure for slugs- frogs. We have a pond full and the chomp the little buggers up, barely any of my plants get eaten now- however, green fly and caterpillars.... any one know any funny pond pets that eat these? :?

Greenfly = Ladybirds
Caterpillars = parasiticwasps
or for both, stick your old fag ends in a pint of water (cigars are better, Lord Brashford don´t smoke nothing else old chap), let it brew for a couple of days Strain and spray on the beloved plants. (as long as they are over 16 years old)
this is really is gardeners Question time :-)

These are called murdersnails here in Sweden (population started to increase 1987). There is a lot of advice about getting rid of them. One: There is a poison (don't remember what's it called). Feed it to some of them, cut them to pieces with scissors (victimsnails?) and let their freinds eat the remains. Yuck! And the poison will affect the snails that ate their comrades and just continue to spread. Since they are cannibals it could work. Salt can be good too (just don't eat them).

That really is Ýuck´Which weird bu**er came up with that idea ? I can imagine a mad proffessor type sitting there thinking, "snails eat a lot, if you squash one the others eat it....Hmmmmm??....aha!! bingo, poison a dead one, it´ll get eaten by the others who die and ad infinitum" What happens if a Hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus) eats them???

I don't think the professor thought of that. Hedgehogs are preserved/under protection. The hedgehogs will die too I believe.

Then the scissors :yeah: but the poison :nay: the poor things have enough to contend with without poisoned supper. We´ve got two in our garden but I think they´ve got scared by the size of the slugs, either that or they are too full to eat anymore :-)

Good one here! I love the pink one, Paul! What paint did you use? :lol: :mrgreen:

Salt is the solution, or sent them to the road, so the cars can drive over them, like they did with my cat while I was on holliday :cry:

Greetings Peter

Yeah, our cat wandered off just over a month ago. We haven't seen him since. :( He was a very pretty fella, dark brown, with light brown/tan stripes. And he was 22 lbs. :-) We have a friend who called him "Catzilla". :lol:

Who ran over your cat Peter !!! where does he/she live ? :viking: :viking:
Our cat died on sunday evening at 23.45. Poor old bugger :( We´d had him for 16 years, rescued him as a kitten (and his two sisters) from a git who´d broken his front leg by kicking him :angry3: :viking: We gave him a
´Celtic´burial on monday night, lots of sadness all round. :crybaby:
