Conversion and Paint By Jon Metters

Posted by Jon Metters on 17 Dec 2011, 21:15

Hello All,

I've had many questions about the figures in my work in progress dio "The 73rd Foot at Waterloo." I thought this simple series of photos might be helpful with those not familiar with conversions.

This figure will be holding the legs of a wounded soldier - being carried to shelter inside the square. I chose him because I feel it shows a pretty decent conversion that requires almost NO sculpting skill.

I've also gone into quite a bit of detail on my paining process on this web page: http://www.pegasusfigures.com/pegasusfi ... tters.html

I hope you enjoy it and it proves helpful in some way. Many thanks to all the folks here on this site (and elsewhere) that have helped me improve along the way. That too, is a work in progress...

Best,

Jon Metters

You make it look so simple, but we all know it isn't. It seems to me that it's really the last step in your tutorial here that give your figures that unique look! Thanks for sharing.
