Hello everyone!
I prepared another "Painting guide ". How do I make my base. This is a fast and easy to do!I will prepare this base without figures. I think he knows better

Step 1. I used a piece of plywood with a thickness of 2mm, usually,i use the sheet of formica thickness of1 mm. Is much more resistant.Vallejo grey pumice.

Now that's a strange thing. For my first base building attempts, I also used a small peace of plywood (2mm). When this came in contact with the putty (and I presume the pumice contains water, as well), the contained liquid made the plywood deform in odd ways. I tried to seal it first with glue, but even this substance made the plywood deform upwards at its' boundaries.
To avoid similar effects, I finally abandoned the plywood and switched to plastic material.

So what exactly did I do wrong? Why does your plywood keep plain, while mine doesn't? Image

No. The first one was round and a bit larger than a 2€-coin, the second one approx. 10*4cm. In both cases, the sides bended upwards so that the bases were no longer plain. :?

Yes , very strange! To me, this has never happened. However, I always try to use formica , is more resistant!!

I use 1-2mm sheet styrene for my bases

http://www.evergreenscalemodels.com/index.htm

It comes in 20x53cm sheets and you can cut the size you want, as well as being fairly cheap. No need to worry about warpage.....

Thanks for showing us this. I was wondering if the standard would be the same for your bases as they are for your figures..........and yes it is!!

How do you attach the figures?

Karl.
