For the want of a nail, my Sunday was lost :angry3:

This morning the wife decided that it would be a good idea while the carpet is up to screw do the floor boards upstairs on the landing of are newly decorated hall. The hall that has taken us the last 3 weeks decorate.
I get the drill out put in few screws then come across one that just doesn't want to go in.So out comes a f@#k off big hammer and nail and :viking: Just as the wife is saying I don't like the sound of that, the slight hiss of water can be heard  A mad rush around the house turning off the mains, crowbars, hammer and liberal use of swear words was used.
I am now waiting for my mate to come round a repair it,on his day off as well    It has also knackered my day of modelling.I went to the fleet air arm show and came back with a shit load of stuff and was looking forward to a day off decorating :angry1: :angry2: :angry3: :angry3: :angry3: :angry3: :angry3:

Rant over and done with  I am going to have to buy my mate Darren a bloody HUGE beer for this one.

Dear Rich,

here's your doctor speaking. Okay you had a little bit of bad luck, but that's no reason for not getting started with what you were planning to do. You have to calm down, and because in your case, pills won't help. I advice you to paint some figures, tanks, planes or wathever you had planned. Let your wife do everything that that waterleak can be fixed. Most of the time they know that better as we do.

So go on that painting table and start the therapy ;-)

Doc Peter

PS: This consultation cost you 23 euro :-D

Well, think...that was lucky..it could have been a bit more shocking, a mains cable
What you could have done is put a basin under the leak, a potted plant next to it, a bit of ambient music and made it into a water feature...very "In" at the moment.

Then you definately have to make it into a water feature...on full moons you can perform mystical rites to the god of plumbing, dressed in blue overalls, the scene lit with soldering torches, the sounds of whistling through teeth followed by chants like..."well, normally a job like this would cost..." and "If i was you squire" :-)
