Missing sprues?

Posted by ToneTW on 28 Dec 2010, 19:48

I recently ordered some Zvezda figures and when I recieved them the command sprue was missing. Should I contact Zvezda about this sort of thing or the seller? Has this happend to anyone else? In another box the command sprue was damaged which was strange as the box looked to be in perfect condition. Does anyone have any similar experiences with Zvezda products?

Not with Zvezda, but with Italeri (damaged figures). I've sent them an e-mail, but I don't get an answer. Very polite I must say :angry1:

The only thing you can do, is to contact Zvezda about this matter. Normally there's a paper in the box that tells you what to do with such errors.

It´s wrapped around the command sprue
Italeri..? They don´t give a toss...really. I´ve tried to contact them several times...e-mail etc...I eventually sent them a bucket load of abuse E-mail to which I got "we are dealing with your complaint" That was months ago. Totally arrogant. :angry3:

No I have not experienced that with Zvezda so contact them direct may help. was box sealed when you got it? Peter and Paul what did expect from that company eh? I can only tell you I had a damaged figure in one of the HaT sets and got a replacement within a couple weeks or days from my telling them of the problem, I think there's a lesson there for the other companies eh?

Missing sprue? No. Did get the wrong sprue once with a HaT cavalry set. Should have been 3x Italian Allies but what I found in the box was 2x Italian Allies and 1x Persian Light Cav :?

Let Hat know this, and you get the missing one for sure.

@Randall: you're right. I had the same problem as Maurice. I sended them an e-mail and they replaced the missing one. Hat = godd service

I think that the seller has some obligations that a product which you bought is in perfect order; manufacturer for his part give some additional discount to distributors. But you will have to prove the defect somehow, the best way is to picture it and explain the problem.

Once I bought Zvezda's box with wrong command sprue (from different kit), but I bought it in a local shop, so I walk there and they replace it. Other time I got mixed content boxes from Strelet's, and on-line shop agreed upon 'evidence' material delivered to them (pics via mail) to send another box within next order (I proposed the solution, to make it easy to both sides).
P.S.: I'm their regular customer too.

good luck!

I know, could have done that, but I swapped the sprue with Old Wolf for something else :)

Thank you for the advice. The box was sealed and was in perfect condition it was the Samurai cavalry so its missing two men and horses. I will contact Zvezda and hopefully they will sort it, either way I'll let the forum know how it pans out.

Cheers

Read your laws. In germany you have to give it back to your retailer and he has to to do something. Give mony back or a new set...

Did you get to keep the first lot??
I agree...go to the seller.
I wrote to Italeri on a matter which had nothing to do with lost or damged stuff but they still never wrote back...and I still think they are arrogant for not doing so.

Just a quick update. I emailed both the seller and Zvezda. I am still awaiting reply from the seller (also about another issue) but I have heard from Zvezda and I am told I will be sent a replacement sprue
