For german users only: New laws according websites in 2011!

Posted by FrankM on 07 Dec 2010, 12:44

Hello,

we know that we have in Germany very, very interesting laws. Beginning on 1st January 2011 there will be new laws for webmasters of ALL kind of websites like Blogs, Online-Shops, Forums and others.

I can´t translate it, but all german users should inform theirself. Here are some details.

http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Blog-macht-wegen-neuem-Jugendschutzgesetz-dicht-Updates-1144566.html

and

http://www.spiegel.de/netzwelt/netzpolitik/0,1518,732238,00.html

I haven´t the technical knowlegde and the financial possibilities to fullfill these laws. Following I think that I close my own websites at the end of the year.

Best regards

Frank

Or you could just get a host outside Germany for your website.

Unfortunately no, because german laws are for all germans all over the world, that includes servers in other countries, which were used by german webmasters. But it´s right that it´s not easy (untill now) to reach them by the german justice.

May be, but nevertheless you must mark your sites. Sorry.

Best regards

One of the links says that as of the 1st of jan 2011 there´s an online questionaire that can be filled out to determine wether a warning or whatever is needed. For blogs this is not really a problem...a possible adult content warning is part of the programme...but if I have to put it up..then I´ll bung up trucks loads of porn etc to make it worthwhile :-D :-D
Swings and roundabouts!!! :-) :-)

there´s an online questionaire

No - you should read it twice.

Only one FSK-certificating company WANT to start an online questionaire and MAYBE that THIS ONE company will not intend further sanctions against websites (like blogs) without FSK-certification.

It´s like yourself standing at a red traffic light: The law saws "don´t cross the road at a red traffic light" and you says "1000 times nothing´s going wrong".

Hello Paul,

have a nice time with your porns.

I don´t think that the theme is only a joke too, so I felt my decision to close my websites at the end of this year.

Best regards

This is the big question...what IS considered harmfull..? Could it be said that we are glorifying war??? Are we allowed to show dead bods??? What about fantasy horror stuff?? How political is the protrayal of such and such...we don´t know how they will define it all..
Obviuosly a bod with it´s (censored) stuck in the (censored) of another bod would be...........just a second...they are at it already!!!! :-)

Anyway...minors are not the ones in question..they spend over 8 hours a day digging coal and some of them swear like nothing else

If you read this carefully, it says that it is supposed to come on January the 1st. It not says this will come.
On the other hand: A modelling page which shows models of tiny soldiers, hey come on who will say that this is not for children when these can buy the models in every toy shop.

This is totally crap / rubbish / and a big big bucket full of Bull......

I would not close a page if I had one. Never. No Never ever...

Can you choose the warning wording?

If I was in your shoes, I'd put something like "WARNING: Educational material inside. You might learn something"!!!! only in Deutsche obviously... :-)
