If it wasn't for the fact that the Cohen brothers are making it, I'd automatically know to run far far away. However, since it is them, I'll take a look, and might even be happy.

No no Paul-if the horses were the usual germans they would wore steelhelmets and would be called "Fritz" , "Frantz" and "Hantz (!)" :-D :-D :-D ...like in "Hogan´s heroes"

And if you look really carefully there´s a very small tearfull looking rabbit doing sign language in esperanto...a very touching scene, where the rabbit tells his life story, which includes the tragic loss of his whole family when a house, flown by a small girl and a dog, fell on them in kansas.
Unfortunately the scene was cut to enable a extra 10 seconds of John wayne hitching his jeans up over hie beer belly.
I have the DVD with extras, including this deleted scene so if no-one believes me, well...they will just have to not believe me. :-)

Yeh but sometimes Wikipedia is not good, for instance if you read their review of True grit, it says nothing about the indian attack on the fort...the gunfight in the town and the huge sandstorm just near the end....terrible!!

The sandstorm????....you know the one that buries the ...ok I´d be giving the plot away.
But the Indian attack on the fort!!!!....Cockburn virtually singlehanded drives of the attack and then due to the fact that the local baddies were giving whiskey to the indians and earning a small fortune from it (which due to him is now gone), the gunfight takes part.

So there's a fort in the sandstorm, and a stagecoach with indians in it, trying to reach the fort? But some cowboys trying to rob that stagecoach, and that is the gunfight you mean Paul? I can't follow anymore :?

NO! NO ! NO ! The fort is attacked by the drunken indians using the sandstorm as cover! The stagecoach was in second half...after the interval...(long films had intervals in those days in order to sell you icecream and to stop ladies from fainting) ..and just before the big snake attack. The gunfight in the town supported by the surviving indians from the fort battle takes place just before the interval. If I say anymore I will give the plot away then Jan won´t enjoy it as he will know what comes when!! ;-)
