Worst Pose Ever Competition

Posted by The Observer on 26 Sep 2010, 21:51

I asked myself what would you suppose to be the worst pose ever featured in a figure box????

...for me the german paratroopers from esci are going very far.....
...especially the guy looking at his mp40 magazine!

Hello,

I think that this pose is o.k., but take a look on the left paratrooper on the 3rd line.

Especially take a look on the muzzle of the MG!

&%/&%$%"§""!!!

O.k., and now I understand the bloody losses of our parachuters at Crete, 1941. :angry3: :angry3: :angry3:

And of course, I would be happy, if any manufacturer would create a Panzerfaust-Operator with the correct pose (between the right body and the right arm and in a angle instead on the shoulder an firing straight ahead)! :angry3: :angry3: :angry3:

Best regards

I will nominate every single Red Army officer pose ever made by any manufacturer, all of who seem to be firing their pistols into the air.

Also the Airfix paratrooper who is performing aerobic exercises on the bottom row of this set: http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=418

and the guy on the top row of the set who is apparently shooting at his own side as they float down.

I don't like the almost inevitable Strelets ancients pose of a guy attempting a backhand swing with the sword etc behind his left ear while almost tieing himself in a knot with his shield held close to his front. They're also impossible to convert into anything but contorted corpses...

Ok, Kiwi got mine... the strange aerobicizer! "Ana one and a two, and a bandage for you! Feel the burn!" This figure literally BEGGED me to convert him! But the WHOLE Atlantic AK set is like a train wreck, but less interesting! I don;t know how I could look at PSR almosr daily for the last few years, and missed it! #2 "In lieu of shooting at you... I will sake my fist and taunt you instead!" #4 "The Exorcist Twist way to fire!"#5 "I am VERY important to "the 1812 Overture"! #10 "Waving at my many adoring fans as I march to battle!" And lastly "I am not looking where I am firing... I am actually holding my MG up for inspection!"

Maybe it's inspired by "Sturmtruppen" movie!
The scene of the training goes more or less this way...

Soldier: - "Sergeant, these bombs are faulty! They explode too soon!"
Sergeant: - "Impossible!"
Soldier: - "Aye sarge!" (the soldier salutes with an amputated hand)
Sergeant: - "This is the correct way to use a hand grenade: (the sergeant explain while holding a bomb)
first, remove the safety! (and he actually remove it)
Second, pull the tab! (so he pull it)
Third, you count to 7! (and he start to count loudly...)
One! Two! Three! Four..."
Grenade: - "BLAM!!!"

A journalist friend of mine claims he once interviewed the sole survivor of an Irish Army bomb disposal course. The last thing he remembered from before the 'accident' was the instructor saying "Of course, what you mustn't do is dis!"...
