I think no one else could have discovered those specific england related errors in this film than you-otherwise thats Hollywood-i don´t even think the 1920´s version is historically correct
or?
But at least you are right-so many strange things we all wouldn´t have expected in this film-at least not LittleJohn swinging an axe wich is not an battleaxe rather than a modern axe-hammer do chop wood
So relax-i´ve seen so much incorrect features in films,it would take a night to discuss
...and if i would start concerning about German Military equipment in films.....oh my god
I was angry.....the 2010 film cost 14€ and the 1920 one...3€. The 1920 one is not historically correct but even without speaking and just music...it is much more entertaining...the story line keeps to a plot, the acting (well it had to be) is much more exact. I´ve now watched it twice..the 2010 version..I won´t watch again...
Oh...they keep mentioning seed (english version)...in those days it was called grain..maize is seed.
Boiling oil
Glass drinking vessels on a boat!!!
Richard died with his mother present
Q "When do we land?" A "In about 40 minutes" No such time keeping back then
Cliffs at dungeness???
He has sticking plaster on his
drawing fingers ??
The inscription on the sword hilt reads first from top to bottom...then later from bottom to top.
And doesn´t she (marion) have a hunting bird which is an owl ??
and When Robin dances with Marian the band plays 'Women of Ireland', written in the late twentieth century and is in the Barry Lyndon by Stanly Kubrick (1975).I thought I´d heard it before and I´ve just checked.
I liked the seige at the beggining.....but then it got to silly...my wife fell asleep and my son went off to do something else.
I expected no history lesson from this film but at least something a bit more...??....adventurous...
