Another question about modelhobbies :(

Posted by Ash on 10 Aug 2010, 09:59

Hi, friends!

I still have a problem with ModelHobbies shop. Two days ago I've send them the next letter:

Hello!
I'm another Benno's figures forum member who also haven't received his order from your shop.
The order's number was #42505, Order Date: Thursday 06 August, 2009, Total: £34.91

How can we solve the situation? I've send you a lot of letters but received no answer

because they promised to answer any questions in 24 hours. Should I say that I still have no answer from them? :-D

I'm impressed - during my 5-years experience as a collector of medieval 1/72 figures it was the first such case. Sometimes the problems were happened (only minor times :) ) but they were solved during the discussion with sellers. But not in this case. What should I do?

I'm not quite sure what you think Benno's Figures can do about this. Feel free to vent if you want, but keep it civil and nothing that can get Benno sued.

to ModernKiwi: Well, it's just warning to forum members that you can have possible problems with this seller.
Sometimes white lists and black lists are useful.

And as for my situation - I have some ideas for the following steps. But I usually prefer to give the last chance to everyone :)

to Mummy: you can write me PM for some ideas :)

to everyone: Please let's stay civil :) For all of us the situaion is clear and everybody can draw a conclusion :)

In addition if you PM'd via this Forums private message system, I suggest you don't expect to hasty a response, if at all. Whilst they did create an account here, I suspect it does not get checked regularly and was mostly created to respond to previous porblems.

So whilst I understand most of you have done, it best to go via whatever options they have on their website, and discuss those specifically.

Thats something you should take up with them. PM's via Benno's figures should not be relied on.

Yes, I've tried to write them a lot of e-mails during last year :) but they answered only one time: "we'll check it". That was all :)

I'll try to phone, hope my spoken english is enough well :)

In the link he does go on to say that it was due to the postal strike in the UK (2009) and that the things ordered eventually arrived.

Yes, but he spent a lot of time for this :(
I think that the only problem they have - their treatment to the buyers.

Why wait? If you're not happy with a webshop, chose another. I usually buy from Harfield's (good service, but he always make a joke of my first name :? ). Or you can contact our member Martin, who has a webshop.
