Officers Mess

Hello to all!

Posted by Keyvan on 12 Apr 2010, 16:28

Hi,
my name is keyvan, im usually building warships in 1/350 and AFV in 1/72.I used to build models and paint soldiers in my youth, now i started again.Since most of the guys i know build in 1/35, i didnt get that much input concerning 1/72 figures.
My focus lies on historical accuracy, thats the goal i try to achieve with every model i build.
I found this forum on the plasticsoldiersreviewsite and i spend few hours browsing the works shown here.
The level some of you have is seriously high, i had a lot of inspiration during those hours thats why i decided to register to learn more and maybe give some inspiration back to you guys when time goes by.
Just wanted to say hello to all and tell you how much i appreciate your works and this forum in general.
for those who are interested in the works i do with AFV or ships...i could also show some pictures of them, although this forum is more sort of a strictly figure forum.
Have a nice day!
greets

Hello Keyvan and welcome to the forum. I think as long as figures are present with the vehicle you can post vehicles here (as long as they are 1/72 or smaller). We all would be very interested in seeing your work finished or in stages.

everything in 1/72...
the tracks still need some work and parts to do, i need to close the gaps and add some pe parts.

Nice tank ;-) On what figures are you thinking? Wich manufacturer?

Maybe I'm a little bit nitpicking, but doesn't this belong in the "Work In Progress" categorie?

MOD's?

Wow, that tank must be a very pricey model with all that photo etched parts. I like those realistic models very much. But they are too expensive in my eyes. I mostly use tanks only as platform to show some nicely painted tank riders and tank commanders ;-)

Show us some pics of the finished tank please!

Oh, i was looking for an introduction thread but didnt see the one...sry guys.
well the model was about 10 euro, the pe in 1/72 are about 5 euro each for the model and the tracks.this goes only for voyager since eduard and co are lots more expensive.
maybe a mod could switch this thread to the one where it should fit best.sry again...
@dürrschmitt:you have some really nice works in here.saw some of them.for me it goes vice versa i guess.i focus more on models, that wont keep me from doing figure dioramas though.the good thing about our hobby is, that you may do whatever you want as long as you like it :-D

Hey,
its this one:
http://www.modellbau-koenig.de/catalog/ ... ts_id/3384

acutally 90% of the models i build are from dragon. The details are amazing and you have a very good basis with those models.im always changing things, sometimes a lot, but those models are also really good if you like to build them out of box.well i guess i never do but there are people who dont work with pe or build scratch details and for those, those kits are some of the best available.
