1/72 Plastics/vehicles

Posted by tony on 14 Mar 2010, 20:41

First off this forum is top stuff, its a constant source of inspiration to me and a joy to read through.Just thought i would share my reasons for modelling/painting 1/72 plastics.
I did buy alot of metals but over this last couple of years, they have gone well out of my price range :( .So a friend took the lot off me and for that alone i am thank full, the money for this allowed me to get loads of Ceasar/italerai figures/vehicles which i am estatic with. The range of the plastics is enough for me and allows great scope for the things i want to do.I really like moderns and ww2 and now have begun to enjoy ancients as well, napolenoics are brillant as well.

One factor for me is they really bring back my childhood,so i feel i have never left it,i love the fact even more as i work full time.I can get 5/10 boxes of figures/vehicles or building sets,i love this hooby/passion what ever you want to call it,for me its a great release and a an absolute pleasure, made even more rewarding by this superb and friendly forum, which i found through plastic soldier review. The quality of the work to me is outstanding and words do not desricbe the joy i get at looking at the "pictures or the works in progress".The amount of knowledge is just to much sometimes i feel a real muppet at times.

Anyway sorry to rattle on like this, cheers all your mate tony

I agree, plastics have become a great source for models for me too. the 20mm range give good prices and small wargames tables. Armies can be build in no time and look great.

cheers Markus

Watch It sonny !! :nono: :-) :-)
I too much prefer plastic figures but have been known to add metal to my collection, especially if they look good.
Like you I think we all love this hobby, and have sometimes bored the T**S off people with my going on about it, still they don´t know what we´re missing
Rattle away, spread your joy :-) :-) :-)

Oh, and my reasons for doing it..? It´s fun and it calms me out :coffee:
