Re-enactors on a team building course:
First pic: trying to feel like german mountaintroops.
Second: after a good conversation in a cabin on the heath they try to walk like GI's after a long march.

Nice one Luchs, I had to think about this one for quite and while and do some research.

The top one is definitely West German, from the time between when the FN-FAL was used (56-59) and the G3 was adopted. They were also sometimes using a cammo pattern uniform before adopting the olive drab one.

The bottom one is also West German from the very founding days of the new Wehrmacht.

And I sort of cheated :oops:

the winner my be modernkiwi because said that both was early west germans..
but the question was "what kind of army this is ?"
and the right answer is " there not a army pics there are old pics of the german BGS, the west german border police , the first organised armed force of the west german before was organized the new federal army"

Well I was nearly right. The bloke right at the back picking his nose in the second photo is P.Jasinski, and the bloke driving the vehicle in the fiirst photo, both his parents are dutch, I´ve forgotten his name., but I swear it´s all true!!!! :-)
