Nice Matt!

I forgot to tell you fellas how the playoffs work.

In each conference (AFC and NFC) the two teams with the best records (top 2 seeds) get a first round bye while the next four teams (3rd-6th seeds) play each other in a wild card round the highest winning seed plays the no. 2 seed and the lower winning seed plays the no. 1 seed. Then the winners of those games play for the championship. The champion of each conference plays in the Super Bowl! ;-)

Any questions?

Yes ...Why do they call themselves World Champions when a team has won it?

It's more baseball that does that.

Super Bowl winners will refer to themselves as world champions sometimes...'cause nobody else really plays it. I wouldn't stop there. I'd go Galactic...mostly it's just Super Bowl Champs.

Baseball's the sport that calls it's championship a World Series.

But the World Series was named after a newspaper who sponsered the competition wasnt it?

Probably...most of the old appellations and team nicknames came from sports writers and newspapers...like, for instance, the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party...Whoo Hooo.

Sounds like you know more about it than I do...baseball is not my thing.

There is actually a World Championship of Baseball...nobody in the US gives a rip, but it's huge in Asia and Latin America.

Cole...I was watching one of your nfl playoff games last night and I've got a question.

Why do so many nfl fans, and I've noticed College Football fans up north, wear jerseys to the games? Are they waiting to be called into the game if necessary? I'm talkin' about grown men and women.

Can you explain it?

Again I ask...after watching indianapolis...what's with the freakin' jerseys!

Somethin' else I don't like about the NFL...the Saints are the local team. Most people that care about professional football 'round here are Saints fans. They're playin' the Vikings...the minnesota Vikings. That should be an easy call...New Orleans Louisiana v. minnesota...but it's problematic because the Vikings are quarterbacked by a legend from Kiln, Missississippi and Percy Harvin is another of their superstars. If this was college football...LSU v. minnesota...there'd be no question, but all these teams (except ironically the Saints) are led by Southerners (Peyton Manning, Adia for the Colts).

Loyalty issues are just too complicated for it to be any fun.

The jerseys are to show loyalty for one player.
In the college football fans generally just like a college near them, or the one they went to. In the NFL you are generally a fan of the leader of a team (the QB), that most likely came from your college. That's why I like the San Diego Chargers. Their QB is Philip Rivers, the best QB from NC State ever.
If you like just like a NFL team just because it's nearby, it means you probably don't like a college team. ;-)

Just my two cents.

P.S. This weekend I'll tell everybody eveything about the last three weeks.
