Moving on to 54 mm

Posted by Chasseur on 14 Nov 2009, 03:15

Hello all,

I regret that I will have to say good bye to all of you. I have moved into 54 mm scale modeling of Napoleonic figures etc. It has been a pleasure to post and to chat with some of you guys and.... I have enjoyed reading the posts and comments. Also I have enjoyed the different personality aspects of all of you. May the good Lord richly bless all of you.... Chass ;-)

Traitor!!!!!!!! ;-) :joker: I´m on the next flight out with my hypnotic ray gun that only allows thoughts about modelling to accept 1/72 scale. No mate, I wish you well and lots of fun with the bigger cousins of the hobby.
All the best :-) :-) :-) :-)

PS, it doesn´t mean that you can´t look in now and then and say hi. ;-)

I also paint some 54mm plastic figs (old Airfix, ACTA, Matchbox, TSSD, Conte) from time to time. It´s quite fun but I think, my painting style comes to it´s edge on this big figures. So 1/72 stays my favourite scale.

All the best for you.

dont go Chass...I think you can paint 54mm and stay here

I always thought it would be nice just to have a small out of the way section for 28mm or larger that people could post pics to and exchange some info about piting in that scale...after all Airfix are releasing a lot of 1/32...Armies in Plastic are popular and Conte collectiables are very nice

I second Fenton's idea, a small place for showing larger scale work would be nice indeed

I don't see why you should go...

You still use pant, make wonderful work, only a bit larger.
So look here for ideas, paintingtechniques and more...

It would be a shame if you go..

It was a real pleasure to share with you our painted figures and some nice chatting about them.

Nevertheless you decide to change your figures scale, I think your comments always will be welcomed here.

All the best!

Agree with the others! Changing scale is no reason to go. You can still comment on our figs! Stay!
