Benno's 2009 College Football Tracker

Two years ago, in what has been described as one of the greatest college football games ever played, the Gators lost a heartbreaker in the final minutes of the game.

Almost 100 thousand people were in the stadium...it was estimated that the crowd outside the stadium was 30-50,000 strong. This week tickets have been going for 2,000 bucks.

It IS ON Y'ALL.

First possession for LSU...one first down and then a punt.

Gator ball on the LSU seven yard line. Tebow up next.

Just as a quick aside....

National Champion 2006 -Florida Gators
National Champion 2007 LSU Tigers
National Champion 2008 Florida Gators

Tried to go for it on 4th and didn't make it.

Fifteen minutes to go...still 10 to 3. LSU's got the ball but they're movin' in the wrong direction.

Gators should have this one in the bag by now, but there's been some very dumb decisions by the coaching staff and a missed field goal.

It's ovah...13-3 Gators!!!

Not flashy, but after six games the Gators have given up only two touchdowns and snapped LSU's 32 game Saturday night game winning streak.

Among the sad-sack, long faced, LSU losers tonight was a young man by the last name of Parsons... ...uniform was dirty too, so he must have been playin, but I never heard of him. So sad.

Go Gators Punks.

Hmmm.... I'm letting the ACC slide. Not good. The SEC might start to sink in.....

Main thing was Carolina's upset of VT yesterday, 20-17. But anyway, here are the standings:

Boston College.............5-3
Clemson......................4-3
Wake Forest.................4-4
Florida State.................3-4
Maryland......................2-6
NC State......................3-4
Georgia Tech................7-1
Duke............................4-3
Virginia.........................3-4
Virginia Tech.................5-3
Miami............................5-2
North Carolina...............5-3

Yeah, State's been goin' downhill. :x

The Gators had the hated seminoles this weekend...all you need to know about the game is that this...

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/R4uGN4AV0-Y&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/R4uGN4AV0-Y&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

(sorry about the poor quality...it's the only one there is at the moment)

happened IN THE FIRST HALF. There was still like 33 minutes left in the game...these stunts aren't usually pulled unless you know it's over...and it was.

Good win for coles Wolfpack too.

Unbelievably awesome game. 8)

The Gators wrapped up their season in style. I'm sure they'll win some amazing bowl game and then flunk next season. (bye, bye Tebow)

You better mind your manners Cole or I'll tell these people in detail what mid-tier SEC teams did to your division champions this past weekend.

They beat the crap out of 'em Paul.

Cole's beloved Atlantic Coast Conference is broken up into two divisions...the ACC season actually ended the weekend before last and Georgia Tech and Clemson won their respective divisions. But, their regular season ended this weekend with cross state rivals from God's Gift to Football...aka the Southeastern Conference, aka The SEC, aka The Conference...Georgia and South Carolina respectively.

Georgia and South Carolina both struggled mightily against other teams from the SEC, but had little trouble slapping these champions from the ACC around.

That's all :P

Mainly because this is how they get down in the SEC...
