I'm currently totally addicted to Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series. Just finished 'THe Wine Dark Sea'. These novels are entirely responsible for the fact that I have recently been going crazy trying to rig some 1/1200 Langton Miniatures ships, with a view to playing 'Signal Close Action'.

I have just started an Osprey Warrior 132 - US LRP scout in Vietnam; for those familiar with SOG and other terms, there will be only some minor details to discover. I am disappointed with graphics, I expected much more to be found.

No curiuos people here on this forum? Well I was reading a book from Naomi Novik, Nappie time with airforce of dragons, The book is called Temeraire (name of the dragon). I like the mix of history and fantasy! Trafallgar, Marengo with dragons Now I'm reading part two, and after this still three to go

Just started reading "Filth" by Irvin Welsh. Some of it I´ve been reading from behind my fingers. Not the sort of book to leave in the guest bedroom or read when eating your cornflakes. I´m seriously wondering about the person who recommended it.

Azincourt by Bernard Cornwall ( The Sharpe series)

A fictional account of a forrester, called Nick Hook, who ends up fighting at the battle of Agincourt as an Archer. Very brutal, it describes in detail the firing of a longbow and the effects of medieval weaponary on human bodies.
As a good read, a definate must, I´ve already read 300 of the 450 pages in lees than a day.
One chapter to go, the battle!!!!!!!!!!:horse:

Just finished Constantine Pleshakov's book Stalin's Folly. Its all about the
main characters in the Soviet command during the first 10 days of Operation Barbarossa. Currently reading Thunder on the Dnepr by Bryan Fugate and Lev Dvoretsky , I am not sure I am buying their premise that the disastrous opening to the German invasion and all the confusion that happened was part of a highly secret Soviet defense plan. Up next I will finally finish Adrian Goldsworthy's The Punic Wars.

Now I´ve finished it, I can second that. The battle is bloody great, full of slaughter and mud !!! Excellent !!
