Three years ago, I started selling unwanted figures (nearly 4000 painted ones), kept a lot more & started completing armies by careful buying of a lot fewer figures.

I'm done. I don't need a single extra figure. No more buying & painting. Every army is complete.

For example, my WW2 late German & British forces are obviously complete.....I could use a few panzer schrek teams, though, & another company of Red Devils wouldn't hurt.

My Bronze Age armies are definitely done. The Myceanaeans wouldn't find another 4 chariot model unit unnecessary & if anyone ever made early Egyptian or Hittite mounted "scouts".....

OK. My Pyrrhic army has all the figures it needs.....although Linear A are going to release a set with Pyrrhus himself in that I'd like & if I added scythed chariots & cataphracts I could also field it as Late Successor....

Etc. Etc. Etc. I guess in this hobby, you never truly finish anything.

With the advent of more robust and higher quality printed material it seems there is always a requirement to update and increase armies.

However, Der Feldmarshall now has a one in one out rule and she is always right!

I wonder if the biggest fun within the hobby is buying a new set and telling yourself that you will need it one day?? I will never leave a model shop empty handed!
