They look great!
It seems like all the figures are wearing armor on their forearms - I thought that these were only used much later in the Balkans.

The armour on thier forearms could be wrappings like the ones (various designs) shown on the opening battle of the film Gladiator* from 2.30 onwards.

The Manica, the metal arm protection went from shoulder to wrist.

*I know..Gladiator isn´t very historically accurate but the forearm protection on the sword arm side would make sense.

Such a dramatic pose. And so perfect for my Plancenoit dio.
Perhaps two more to come and shortly the masters for the British disaster too. Bit more patience needed for the Landwehr cavalry.

Figures like these make me think more of large statues than toy soldiers; which suits me fine incidentally. The nicer the figure the more motivation I have to paint them well. That is a fabulous master!

It has probably been already said but it is obvious that Linear and Strelets use the same sculptor? Even the background of the pictures of the masters is the same. What are the relationships between the two as far as you know?

Bonjour CPN,
well, here the facts we know. Before Linear-A there was Linear-B who clearly had its sets sculpted and manufactured by Streletz team.
From some names on the Linear-A site you can guess ties to Ukraine.
What is indeed interesting is to follow the improvements in sculpting. We have discussed in the past that Streletz has probably 2 sculptors - there seem to be 2 styles, and how else can you keep the output they have?
On the VK site (type of Russian Facebook) people discuss sculpting a lot and maybe they know more. Surely Streletz people discuss at least with Haron / Redbox / Orion - about future sets, periods to cover, etc.
Personnally, it seems to me that there are 2 sculptors who have consistently improved - there is still style of the original sets (I have recently painted figures of the GNW - some of the first sets!, and Marvin has shown his contributions). It would be worthwhile to do a comparative study on this.

These new sets from Linear-A,
I have no idea that I would ever collect Minoan time minis, but I think I will. Just to have a few of these beautiful guys from a long lost and mysterios culture in my hand, paint them and let my phantasy strive.

Love the Minoans. I wouldn't mind if they made more for a full size set.

The Roman Legionaries look good, some very nice poses there but to be honest, I think I'd buy the set just to get the two guys using the dolabra. They are great.

The Waterloo casualties are fine, I can see how I might make a change to the pose of the "Waterloo Teeth" collector. Perhaps a bit anachronistic but one must have figure is the Highlander at the McGonagall recital.
