Rorke´s Drift biscuit boxes

Hello,

For our diorama project, I need the dimensions of the biscuit boxes from which a wall was erected at Rorke's Drift.
Could anybody give me this sizes please ?

Just perusing this thread.
I have seen these boxes before and as illustrated in the MaA series of the zulu war, I believe that what you are looking at are powder/charge bag containers for cannons.
The one I have seen is identical to the one above and is for the Armstrong 9“ dissappearing gun of the 1880's/90s..
When I had seen this image in the MaA Books, I thought of a few things...either the box was there but misidentified as biscuit box or it is a ring-in from some other conflict...
With the special four holed screws(special spanner here), the well made box and heavy duty tinned metal and lidded liner, it is more than likely for the charge bag's than biscuits...
I respectfully put this up for consideration...

Dimensions of biscuit box:

Have a look at the various pics and fit these measurements to those pics.

Overall - 21" tall, 16.5" square
The two battens on the side for supporting the rope handles are 17" x 2.25" each and are 6" apart (ONE SIDE ONLY).
The lid on the top is 9.5" x 9.5", inside a square 10.75" X 10.75". there is a brass ring handle on one side of the square
The internal copper lid is 8 and 3/8" in diameter.
