The blu tac Mould

I have been making moulds for fantasy projects and there is always a little Plaster of Paris over and so i improvised and used my odd ball of blu tac to make a push in halfway mould. Very simple to do.
Whatever ship this was she foundered on a reef where other ships remains ended up smashed to pieces and well rotted. The Bronze Cannon are massive 32 Pounders so i would make a guess and say she must have been a Frigate.

The left over stuff would have been thrown out. ____So nothing ventured nothing gained. BB

Often is the case it is the simple things that come out on top best. An idle thought an idea sprang to mind not to waste expensive stuff left over. For Fish Tank use one would have to use plastic resin or dental plaster!


As for the reef that claimed that ship it laid waste to many more,and a well armed Chinese Junk struck and sank the remains of which settled here too,and one of her dragon guns a hefty piece of ordinance can be viewed with a closer eye of scrutiny.

The Parts i Used



Pressed out onto a plastic sheet.



Guns removed using a brush handle,which was also used to stipple the base. The edges were rolled up creating a well for the casting up material i used. All in all it was Great Fun. BB

Mrs B,kindly bought me some plastic wet fish and fruit for a market stall that i intend making .
Tiny baskets and boxes and barrels of things .Really sweet , so i thought i`d expand upon the theme a little,and press a few.



My first boxes of fish and fruit. A few air holes,but i`ll use a tiny brush next time which should counter that problem on these tiny moulds.

They look very nice! Just some paint on and you can go to the tiny market and start selling!

Remember the fish has to be fresh for the Asterix village! Otherwise you know what will happen in your town!
