Don´t know if anyone has heard this but on the 27th of august this year Mars will be the closest it´s been to earth since 5000 years and this event won´t occur for another 60,000 years. Apparently it´ll be visibly as big as the full moon!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a bit like this, =
I´m definately getting a new camera for this one!!!!!!!!!!!

What stage is the moon supposed to be in at the time. Will they both be visible in the sky?

looks like it´ll be waxing, but mars starts coming into view at the beggining of july
