The “Bennos Figures Forum Famous Waterloo Project” (BFFFWP)

Posted by Cameronian on 21 Feb 2015, 21:09

Cheers Beano. I now know why I don't habitually use Airfix figures, horrors to work with. 50 Quid! I've been chopping that set up

The box I have (had) has a window in it and the figures are in a dreadful satanic yellow. Wonder if that's an old 'un?

I found an already painted Strelets French hussar in my cabinet - I'd like to add him to the project.
Aditionally, I could offer to paint the HaT Prussian flag bearer because I have that set, too (obvious, due to my avatar, isn't it?)

Hello Sascha, that is really fine. Nice that you found them.

I really like what you have painted already!

Do you have a flag for the flagbearer? Otherwise I could help you, maybe.

I will try to be with you ....
I've planed to order some "little" things at Kamar , I'm just waiting for Ragnar, so it could be :
Dutch Belgian – Personalities
KAMAR Prince of Orange
http://kamar-zinnfiguren.de/de/Massstab%20...%201-72-.html
but I'm not sure to be able to paint if before the deadline which is .... when ?? :withstupid:

I don't have Napoleonic figures, so it's difficult for me to choose something and not very useful too to buy a whole box or a set ... (I've seen beautiful figures, but unfortunately, the shipping costs are too high !)
If you have something for me.... I can pay the postage cost (and the figure if you ask me !)

Many thanks !

Hello Pascal,

the deadline is end of April. If you order at Andis Shop: Why not the Prince of Orange?

But - keeping in mind that you are our Frenchman ;-) - why not paint a single French Line Infantry Man from the small set of Zvezda Art of Tactic.

http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=2218

KAMAR sells them as well, and I can provide everything necessary as painting guide?? :read:

Ok for the painting guide ! ... I don't want to use too much pink, purple, and all those inaccurate colours ! :joker:
I will see.... but :
do you mean that I'm not able to paint the beautiful Prince of Orange ? :eh:
I begin to like this challenge : painting Nappies ! something I've never imagined before ...

:-D It was one of the reasons behind my joining too... !
I just bought few box of nappies, then left it somewhere, but now..
I have a goal to paint at least one of 'em, and a gun..
and.. and
after that I will go back to my medievals and paint no more braided pelisse, or uniforms with piping  :joker:

honesty, I've seen before the French regiments, but the figures that I prefer were difficult to have (too high shipping cost for a few figures... :angry1: )...
I will have a closer look at the Zvezda figures .... :P

I fully agree with Pascal about the high Postal Charges. Long Distance Trading with European Federation Countries,is Crippling! Double the cost of Royal Mail now for small packages.

However it will be Good to have Good Old,____ Young ,Sam Wise in the BFFF Project. So hopefully figures can be found by this intrepid friendly Hobbit with his Golden Brush! BB
