The “Bennos Figures Forum Famous Waterloo Project” (BFFFWP)

Posted by MABO on 04 Feb 2015, 00:04

And a final update for tonight:

Sascha (Zed1): told me that he paints the Waterloo1815 Prussian Husar and a ESCI British Line-Infantry Man. So he is in as well!

If my little lancer is qualified I start working on him. Have the ESCI line infantry somewhere, but only found the similar Italeri-set yet.

Yup. A bit un-clear I realize.

Looking for this set (I have a couple of them somewhere):

But only found these yet (probably same sculptor, but some differences):

Yes and it would be good to have the ESCI Set.

But I think we should wait a little. There is plenty of time till April and maybe some other members would join as well. We both stay in contact here and if tim is running out at the end I would be very happy if you and some other participants paints more figures than they already do or have done actually.

Okay, I'll paint one if I can find them, but if anyone wants to paint them they are free. Do have the Chausseurs á Cheval from Revell, but they will get the same treatment.

 for the Airfix Cuirassiers (do you have the fourth figure in the first line maybe?? )

Secondly: Do you think we can be free and add a flag for the dio. It should be a symbol for the Dutchmen fought at Waterloo. I would really appreciate if we have flags for all the main units.

Thirdly: I have not seen the Jaeger so you have to decide ;-)

Big step forward!
:xd: :xd: :xd:

Yep, I have the fourth figure in row 1 here painted for me!

I have no idea what kind of flag to use for the Dutch. I think I'll use the Dutch flag in the Rofur flags series no 181 (from 1648  ).

For the Jaegers: both are very nice, but I think i'll take the loading one.

Hi Jan,

I will use one of these flags with a "W" at one side.
http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/nl%5Ecolst.html
In scale 1:72 no one can :read: the text on a flag 1,25cm x 1,25cm. :-D

ok, then I will choose the gun captain with the stick in the Iamfiringmahgun position ;-)
that figure isn't so dull as the spongeman, or the gun layer,(converted from the second spongeman)
but sadly that fellow discarded his sabre, and his sabretache... in a battle, in the Guard!?? :nono:
ok jokes aside,
all prepared, sober and ready to paint sir!!

Airfix British RHA still free? Don't know what's left of my set until I find it as it's been cannibalised.

A warm welcome Cameronian! The RHA is still free. It should be the officer with the telescope, to have a variety of poses concerning the artillery in the diorama an a gun, of course.

http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=593 First figure first row.

Keep us informed. Good to have you in the group. :-D

BTW:

Actually we have participants from ten different countries:
Belgien,
Croatia,
England,
Germany,
Hungary,
Netherlands,
Scotland,
Serbia,
Sweden,
and the USA.

We can not beat the Eurovision Song Contest but I hope that we will have more countries represented: Where are our members from Spain, Italy, Poland, Greek, China, Australia and Russia for example and there are members from more countries here at Bennos. Let us be international and worldwide :xd:

Cheers MABO. Put me down for the officer and a gun.

Let me see if I've got this right:
paint figures (gloss or matt finish?),
don't base them,
send them to you well before the end of April.
