It's been a while since this has been asked. I'm reading: "This war without an enemy: A history of the English Civil Wars" by Richard Ollard, "Napoleon as Military Commander" by James Marshall- Cornwall (again), and The Aeneid by Virgil. How 'bout Ya'll?

Not quite as old school,but I have just picked up "APACHE DAWN".
Its about british attack helicopters in afghanistan.preface four royal marines strap themselves to the weapon pylons and fly into a compond to rescue a wounded comrade.

Rumpole, which is an old friend, but a bit of a slog. I've just got Cornwell's Agincourt, which I will be starting after I finish my current book.

I'm also reading Richard Lattimore's translation of the Iliad along with Christopher Louge's retelling...creating a cross reference for Little Steve Spurrier. He's half way through All Day Permanent Red and the questions are starting to become a chore.

Hopefully that'll keep him off of me long enough to finish my own translation of some of Baudelaire's better prose poems...into Manderin Chinese.

I picked up The Waterloo Companion by Mark Adkin on an inter-library loan today. WOW what an incredible textbook! 432 pages and the color plates are excellent. If you are into modeling this battle this book is a must in your library.....Chass

Currently reading Mussolini's Island: The Battle for Sicily 1943 by the People Who Were There by John Follain, The reason for God by Timothy keller, Love and War in the Apennines by Eric Newby and Life and Fate by Vasili Grossman. Quite interesting.
