What are you reading?

Posted by ColeF on 17 May 2009, 16:37

It's been a while since this has been asked. I'm reading: "This war without an enemy: A history of the English Civil Wars" by Richard Ollard, "Napoleon as Military Commander" by James Marshall- Cornwall (again), and The Aeneid by Virgil. How 'bout Ya'll? ;-)

One can be for the books you're actually reading.

The other can be for the books you're prentending to read.

Rumpole, which is an old friend, but a bit of a slog. I've just got Cornwell's Agincourt, which I will be starting after I finish my current book.

I'm also reading Richard Lattimore's translation of the Iliad along with Christopher Louge's retelling...creating a cross reference for Little Steve Spurrier. He's half way through All Day Permanent Red and the questions are starting to become a chore.

Hopefully that'll keep him off of me long enough to finish my own translation of some of Baudelaire's better prose poems...into Manderin Chinese.

I picked up The Waterloo Companion by Mark Adkin on an inter-library loan today. WOW  what an incredible textbook! 432 pages and the color plates are excellent. If you are into modeling this battle this book is a must in your library.....Chass
