WWI 100th Anniversary Group Build: Mr X Austin Armoured Car

Posted by PDA on 01 Feb 2014, 18:19

I have a terrible track record of actually finishing anything, but I can't resist a Group Build in WW1.

I might try to get the Austin Armoured Car Series 3 by Mister X in 1/72 completed.

And maybe I could get some figures together to go with it. I'm thinking of a Dunsterforce scenario. If it happens I will be using Minifigs and HaT figures with some head swaps from Dan Taylor Modelworks.

Thank you Gentlemen.

I've not done much; cut off some pour stubs and cleaned up a bit of flash here and there. Been dry-fitting to see how to put it together and in what sequence. The instructions are pretty good but a little vague.

Slow progress is still progress! And once it starts going together it shouldn't take too long.

Better a slow progress as no progress. And the model looks like you have to keep your mind on it! ;-)

Looking forward to the progress on this model!

Need to paint the wheels next, and then fit them.
