20 mm and 1:72 compatibility

If this topic has been covered before, please link. If anyone knows, how compatible are 20 mm white metal miniatures when set side-by-side with 1:72 scale plastic guys? Are the metal ones closer to 1:76 or H:O scale? Does anyone have any pictures with the two varieties in the same shot?

It all depends on manufacturer.

Thanks for posting. It looks like the compatibility is excellent between these 20mm and 1:72 guys; especially if the oversized head on the metal guy is swapped out.

Don't know abut modern ones but for my assyrian army i mixed new-line with hat and they match perfect
