That´s a high school of modelling. I´ve found an equivalent of polyurethane boards he uses. It´s called "KAPA" board.
Does anybody have some experiences with this material?

Yes! It is a very useful material. I have build some models for my film with it. You can make a lot of things out of it.

Emmanuel Nouaillier's work is outstanding, so realistic...
He writes in a belgian model magazine.
Be carefull with the "kapa" board, there is several type of this material, some are easily usable, some are not.
It's the stuff I'm using for my building, paved stone road, etc...

Hello Chris,

could you tell me, how difficult is to remove the paper layers? I know nothing about this material.
I think, this material has a big potential. I want to try it.

It really depends of the kind of board you are using, in some type you could remove the paper easily with a blade (slip the blade under a corner of paper, then pull away the paper, gently...) with some other type, you'll need to humidify the paper, directly with a sponge, I know some use a flatiron.

I noticed that with black "kapa" board paper is easy to remove !

You could also find this board under the name of K-Foam, Styro foam...etc..

I bet you'll have to try different types to find THE good one...

Hi,
Some news on Emmanuel Nouaillier. I understand from the publisher of the Belgian "Modelspoormagazine", for which he also writes articles, that Emmanuel is currently working on a book that will feature his modelling techniques. It is expected to be released at the end of 2013. I know ... it will be a long time to wait for it, but it will probably become one of these standard modelling books that everybody will have in their collection!
