Making a flag

This is something I promised a long time ago, and now for the first time I made one.

Let’s start

Tools needed:



I also used scissors.

Step 1. Making a point on the lance.









Step 2. Cutted out the flag.



Step 3. Bringing the lance to the right lenght.





Step 4: Painted the lance.



Step 5: Piece of foile cut in the right size.



Step 6: Glueing it all together.



Step 7. Bringing the flag in form.



Done. Easy isn’t it? And with the flags like from Rofur you can do it the same way.

Images? You mean the flags? There are several producers of paper flags around, and you can make them yourself as well, copy an image from the internet, and print it to the right size.

This is how I make my flags also. The only difference is that I don't use foil, I heat the Pritstick (glue) first before glueing the two sides together, and while it is still warm, bend the flag to the desired look.

A brilliant website for free flags is www.warflag.com. I have picked up all my Naoleonic flags from there.

I hope that no one minds me putting my penny worth in!

Hi Peter,

The genius about this tutorial is that the printed flag is pre shaded. I'm not sure if anyone notice that, but i think it is a very important detail!
