Interview with Tom Meier

Posted by closerlookbooks on 03 Jul 2011, 15:57

Several months ago, I conducted an interview with "Alex" and asked him if there were any sculptors who he admired or that inspired him. He mentioned two people, one of which was Tom Meier. Tom does not sculpt 1/72 scale and under, but the fact that his expertise in sculpting inspired "Alex" gave me all the relevance I needed to see what we could learn from him. I posted the interview just the other day along with a few photos of his work. If interested, go to: http://www.pegasusfigures.com/pegasusfi ... Meier.html
Best wishes,
Steven Lloyd

P.S. By the way, have you seen the photos of Alex's St George and the Dragon? Incredible!!!

When I interviewed Tom Meier, I did not know that he sculpted 1/72 scale figures. What I saw of his work was excellent, and Alex admired his work. That was sufficient for me. But when Tom realized my website highlighted 1/72 scale figures, he sent me some of his work in that scale. I just had to post a couple of these gems. The Sheriff is my favorite, but as luck would have it, it was never manufactured.
