European Union

Posted by Kekso on 01 Jul 2013, 21:57

Today, my country became member of European Union. That means no more VAT deduction when I buy from webshops from EU.
And that means that figures are now approximately 20% more expensive for me

Regarding figure purchase? Yes. Before I could buy figures up to 22 euros without paying custom clearance. If I bought more than 22 euros I needed to pay 25% custom clearance. Now I can buy as many I want without paying CC.

If you ask in general, I voted for EU :-D

Maybe croatian model shops will bring more sets at better prices, and then perhaps you can get some things you would normally don't get. Although I don't know if there are many model shops in croatia :P . How it is our hobby in your lands?

Unfortunately, Croatia is a very small market for scale models, especially for 1/72 figures.
International webshops and ebay are still better option (regarding prices and assortment too).

I voted against. Don't like masonic ideas, never did.

I already experienced what the EU brought to me. My parcel from England took 5 days more to arrive, because there is no more customs clearance. Go figure 8)
