Mars news 2020 - 2023

Another new 1/72 set from Mars and again a WWII subject that hasn't been worked on before.
72121 - WWII German Paratroopers in winter uniform 40 figures in 8 poses

Unfortunately, the poses on the back of the box are most likely examples of corresponding 1/32 figures and usually tell nothing about the final quality of the actual 1/72 ones. :coffee:

The figures look usable so far. Let's see what size they will be this time?

Hello Mars team,
Are these new German paratroopers sets with guns and mortars to be done in 1/72?

Kind regards.

Talk is about two Mars announcements in 1/32.

WWII German Fallschirmjäger with 10,5cm Leichtgeschütz 42 (late war)

WWII German Fallschirmjäger possibly with kurzer 8cm Granatwerfer 42 ("Stummelwerfer", late war)

If both sets will actually be released in 1/72 and Mars manages to offer them in acceptable quality, they are indeed a "must have" for me. ;-) :xd:

Another 1/32 set from Mars that will most likely be released in 1/72 as well.
WWII US Infantry in winter dress (late war 1944/45)
If these will be available in adequate quality, they would be very useful to complement their Italeri & Revell winter comrades.
Ardennes, Alsace, Hürtgen Forest, ...

Mars, if you are reading this, please make them compatible in size with Revell. The poses look good, and they will be a very welcomed addition.

The next two sets are available soon now and will contain the earlier mentioned figures (see above).

72123 - WWII German Paratroopers with 10,5cm Leichtgeschütz 42 & 8cm Granatwerfer 34 (tropical uniform)
40 figures in 10 poses and 4x each support weapon

72124 - WWII US Infantry (winter uniform)
40 figures in 8 poses

Apparently, the previews show the better 1/35 figures again.

I hope these two sets are at least as good as the WWII US paratrooper set, the only Mars set I have bought. I certainly would have bought many more of their sets if they had been worth a darn. Something always appears to go wrong in the mold making process.

Looks like WWII US Infantry Support Weapons. Maybe for Ardennes?

Doubtless those are the 56mm guys in the picture above. We'll see how they scale down. They look quite promising.

Thanks for sharing this CPN.
As always with Mars, we'll have to wait and see how the corresponding 1/72 versions turn out in the end.
Hoping for an usable result, because such a WWII US support weapon set would be a real enrichment to already existing ones. ;-) :yeah:

Looks more like moderate or summer conditions. So 1943-45 Italy and NW Europe (especially Normandy) I think.

If the Mars figures pictured above scale down without deformity or loss of too much detail, they will blow the existing ones clean out of the water.

Absolutely, if done adequately they would indeed be an excellent addition to the better US sets out there, especially Pegasus, Caesar and Italeri.
We could really use some more contemporary WWII US Infantry in 1/72. In this regard, I have high hopes for the announced Zvezda AoT sets. ;-) :yeah:
