After a few years not be able to organize FIGZ, I did decide to give it a try again.
So hope to meet you again, many of my friends there on June 5th 2022
I did official hire the place, not sure how many tables there are available after all this time.

For me as organisator It will be handy to know who wants to show there work in Arnhem (NL)

WORKSHOP BUILDING MODEL BOATS IN WOOD AT FIGZ 2022

For all of you who like to participate in the FIGZ 2022 workshop, here is some information:

Start: 13:00 h
End 15:00 h
Participation is free, a voluntary contribution is appreciated and goes to the organisation of Figz.
Language English, German and Dutch.
I will bring modelling wood and prefab boat frames.
Try to bring some of your own tools as shown in the picture:

Transpartent ruler
Pencil
Saw
Micro Saw
Small hobbyknife
Diamond file straight edged
Nail file coarse
Nail file fine
Sanding paper coarse grain
Wire cutter
Side cutter
Brush for white glue
Rubbers / elastics
Modelling clamps
Button pins

What you do not have yourself, you can borrow from me and the other participants.
I will bring a woodbender so you can try it before you decide to buy one yourself.

Looks like a great workshop, mr. Cryns.
However, i will not participate with this workshop, as ww2 boats were most made out of metal, and not wood.

You could use it for learning some extra skills, workshops are a lot of fun!

Absolutely. But unless i can learn to make a small ww2 landing craft or boat that was used in ww2, it is not usefull for me.

I thought everyone in the Netherlands knew how to build a boat? For the high water in that country! :mrgreen:
