Jan,in my minds eye I can see a great looking table top scene taking shape .You mentioned before how the French are heavily out numbered, but hopefully when the bulk of the French Infantry arrive it will look much better. Once again we can see some Very Nice Styles ,of painting has been posted here by other members of the figures they intend sending in. Which is Great! I sincerely hope you are able with perhaps extra help to acquire all the figures ,and other stuff on your List. BB

Hello Pascal, ver good job, in my eyes. No reason to make your work smaler than it is. As I have already said: I am honnered that you started painting Nappies for this project. For the project I would chose one of the shooting guys.

And another Oscar goes to Konrad, who is also working in a century that is not familiar to him. Samurais are much earlier.

the Hanoverian Landwehr ensign is done. I go for the flag now. What's the scale of a 20mm figure? 1/80 or should I use 1/72? I like to size the flag correctly. Thanks

I`m afraid that I am like choice wine, and so do not travel well. Yes, like many unable to attend,but I will enjoy seeing at least a few thousand pictures of the stuff on display,Including of course any of the cakes that you guys will over stuff into your Gobs! BB

1/72 is usually 25mm, but regarding the flags available on the web, I have often noticed that you have to calibrate the printing size manually because otherwise the flag would be too large/small.

Thanks for the tip. I made some research and saw some long lasting debate on scale and corresponding figures size in the net. 1/72 was originally expressed in inches and used for 20mm figures, which would make 180cm high man in real life. If expressed in cm, then it goes for 25mm with same result, more or less.

Anyway, I found myself totally unable to produce a nice flag. I ended up with a printed paper flag. The result is just ok. I count on your forgivennes

Bought some 25mm Prince August moulds many years ago and the figures are very much NOT 1/72. Could have sent some, but they are too big. If you want a marching Prussian from Prince August, Jan, I can send one. They are already painted and he will look just how I painted him about 30 years ago.

Hanoverian Landwehr ensign with flag of the Calenberg battalion. Literature reports its size as 126cmx128cm. I scaled to 1.5cmx1.5cm. It should be ok.
