How to apply a unit patch decals to 15 mm miniatures

It is relatively easy to find various unit patches on the web, scale it to 1/72 size - they could be a bit larger than in reality, and than print it to an empty decal paper.. but how to use them successfully?

he could save himself a lot of time and effort by using a pin and some diluted wood glue

So, about 2 minutes per decal, onto 2400 figures. 80 hours just putting transfers on....I'm not dedicated enough. I cann't be a proper gamer
