Fika with a friend

Very nice and calm scene. Maybe you can add some coloured plaster for a more detailed soil. This would also help to close the gaps between the stones around the fire and the surface. Omho!

I love dioramas and vignettes that, although they are military themed, don't show a bloody battle but the quiet moments that the soldiers also enjoy, accompanied in some cases (as in this one) by a pet.

And this is the case with your vignette, Susofrick, well done!

Very nice too see a soldiers' quiet moment. I agreewith Mabo a little dirt, charcoal and ash around the fire would complete the gaps. Maybe a knapsack the cat wants to investigate? I love the idea of doing tiny vignettes. 1 /72 is perfect for doing scenes like this.

Thanks for the comments! I will see what I can do in the weekend (I hope). I have plaster, paint and water so it shouldn't be too difficult. And, yes, he is from the Italeri set. I thought it was quite hard to get nowdays.

Thanks for the tip, Jan. Never thought of colouring the plaster before. Quite fun. A bit on the light side colourwise, but I can probably fix that. Cats? I don't have that many in this scale. I bought Phersu's cats, but then Leo died so they are quite rare in the hobby. Can probably buy from Preiser, but they will be smaller. Haven'nt decided on the final animal yet. This guy doesn't sit as good as the other.

i remember pinning my little fellows to the boxes and barrels that came with their wagon. While they all had a good natter! Even Napoleon Boneparte turned up too,to sulk in his tea. Poor fellow,there was not even any sugar to sweeten up his day.

Cats? I don't have that many in this scale.

3d printing might be solution... although printed cat tails in 1/72 might be very fragile

It all looks nice and peaceful! I love the cat and the dog! Nice work on these animals!

PS: I always use woodfiller with a little paint (for the color) in it on my bases. You can get that very cheap in the Action for example (but no shops in Sweden, I see).
