My latest purchase

Posted by MABO on 31 Aug 2014, 23:35

When I spend my holidays in Normandy I bought the new Willys Jeep from Airfix. I have planed to complete the Horsa Glider that I have bought in Bonn but did not find the time for it. So both have to wait...

And when we crossed the new Pegasus Bridge, I bought a set of British Paras in the Museum nearby.
More a souvenir:

PS: it seems to be that the French are missing a bridge called "Pegasus"? You don't know where it could be Jan?

I had some money left from my birthday in July, and today I visited a shop in Antwerp. This was the plunder ;-)

This set doesn't need any comment: ;-)

I just picked up a box of the Hat 8095 100 figs 1808-1812 French infantry and really surprised how good they are cant wait to get a bunch of these painted up.
Also some Italeri ACW cavalry sets both Union & Confederate something fun and easy to paint!
plus I have a weakness for Italeri Cavalry sets.

Me too, that's why I will pick tomorrow a cheap, and second-hand, but unpainted box of Napoleonic British/Prussian staff set, only just for the horses...
oh, and my latest purchase:
Revell produced, ex-Accurate English Men At Arms from the Hundred years war

In answer to your question, Jan, I'm going to paint them. Sometimes when my eyes are tired from working a whole day on my PC at work, I still want to paint something. And then this bigger scale is just the right thing for me! ;-)

No, I just wanted to know if you would like to build a dio in another scale. :joker:

Oh well, I think you all know why this scale is so wicked...secondhand stuff is bloody inexpensive!

Got this army for about 50$. Most of the bicorne wearing chaps will be converted to have Shakos instead to serve in my Peninsular French army. A bloody good catch in my humble opinion, that almost quadruples my current 1:72 French forces.

The actual new highlight in my collection is this:

The new ship section from Germania Figuren.
I have bought it yesterday on the small-scale convention.
