This is the third size of AA Flak Gun for on of the bogies.
The self propelled 37mm anti-aircraft gun SdKfz 10/4

i made some good wins on E Bay saving over £10.00
So while walking in the city i treeted myself to this kit.
A needful thing that as I looked at it i feel cost me nothing!

The British Train Build Up



I took perfect opportunity to buy the first six British Cruiser Light Tanks
early war period 1939-41,and these will fit perfectly on the railway rolling stock.



These tanks were designed and used in a light cavalry role ,to scout out behind enemy lines,and not for a one to one slogging match with heavier enemy tanks.The British got it wrong on all their designed Cruiser Tanks,and their use,but soldiers fight with what is dished out to them,and it was as simple as that. Sadly it was they who paid the price of such folly.

Having bought lots of differing stuff for the three German Trains pulling over Sixty 40 Ton Bogies, I will start to assemble, ( Stick Together), some more armour very soon. As my ailing circumstances have somewhat slowed me down this year I still could go ahead and buy whatever it was I wanted. So one could say," I`ve bought the Horses and the Wagon,and all I have to do now is put the wheels on."



The cost of antique boggies and the models deployed upon them has long ago exceeded £1200, and I have not included any postage charge here because that is no way to value a Collection. It is a lot of money but spread out now for well over a year or so in the grand scheme of things hobby-wise that is it`s not that much really. The guy next door has just bought his new car for over £15.000,and I not needing one have spent £1200 on a small part of my hobby which gives me great pleasure.
The Locomotives pulling the trains I already had.

Another box of three bought, A must really because these were iconic in their day and remained in service long after that war.



The British used to call these Bren Gun Carriers back in the day.They too were stupidly used at first in the light cavalry roll,but were more commonly seen pulling British artillery.

That will make two trains chasing eachother! One with the guns to the back and the other one with the guns to teh front!

A nice and fun project would be two men with a lorry between those two trains!

This is a helpful picture because it shows the added thick walls on railway wagons. How the M G`s are mounted it seems shooting your comrades was quite possible indeed. 7.62- cm Gun



The last of these heavy German Armoured Cars arrived today along with all the British Stuff.I have a few heavy 7.62- cm Russian Assault Guns going spare so rapid fire conversions will certainly beef the firepower on these. The Germans captured thousands of Russian guns and millions of shells when they invaded Russia.So I feel comfortable using them. Even captured British tanks were patched up and used by the German and Italian forces in N Africa and Crete in May of 1941 . Likewise German stuff was used by the L R D G from 1940,so that gives even more scope for a fun-time railway.



There are these Autoblinda`s also to be delivered in the mail so the variety of German Armour is going to look intermixed on mass and hopefully good.
The Germans actually converted these to ride the railway lines ahead of the trains,simply by removing the rubber tyres and adjusting the wheels to fit the track.

After the fall of France 1940.



A few were salvage by the Germans and these light British Tank The Vickers Mrk VI were up gunned with self propelled guns. The French had several variants too,and lots not destroyed fell into the eager hands of the Germans.

The S A S,are riding the British Train,at long last.

The British High Command wanted nothing to do with Stirlings idea to raise the S A S.
So he hatched a rather cunning plan. As the British General came out of a plane,he reviewed the troops all lined up,and saluted the cap badge and in doing so a Legend was born.

So David Stirling having gotten the regiment saluted by a British General,
is about to make history.

I knew Burt Ceely, really well as a boy,and he was there when this picture was taken.

Due to availability of stock.
I had to reorder my German Self Propelled Guns,from another Seller,
but at a rock bottom bargain prices so 4 Kits cost £21.72 plus £3,89 UK Sterling.

A few days ago I paid £30.00 for a rare L R D G, Kit plus £3.50 postage.

So when I add the cost up of all 5 Kits combined it equals out at £10.34 each UK Sterling!
This is how I spread the cost and balance my hobby spending on kits and railway bogies. BB

Assembly of four Tiger Tanks
A night time misadventure because it sure did vex my head. !!!!



The Interlocking wheels on the Tiger Tank is a pain,because I put them on wrong, but I never glue until the last four wheels are put in place. These hold the loose ones in place fine. So when I realised I`d got all the wheels Above in the wrong order, it was simple just to take them off again and hop scotch them correctly.



After such muddles that even Alice Through The Looking Glass,did not get into. I found evidence that when I was wrong with those darn wheels I was also correct. !



This wheel pattern above was in the AIRFIX Plan. Photo proves it correct. " It sure does."



This proves that when I was wrong I was also right. " That`s an oxymoron!"
" He! He! BB,was juggling those wheels all night long."

Now I intend to put together The Revell Assult Guns tonight. They are Level 4 which could spell out trouble for me.

Yes Peter,they are very nice Self Propelled Guns.
With these I now have three differing types of up-gunned Panzer Variants for the trains.

The British Tommy in this picture is still wearing his helmet and other kit,which I find quite unusual.



Interesting to note just where the spare track was placed,which helps with the project.
So I`ll make spare track up and stick it where it is in the picture.

I have been busy for a few nights,kit bashing my way through a quarter of those piled up below.

My neat table top.



Having finished over 20 boxes I have a system well in place. Half of all the tiny wheels and larger ones are cut off,and stuck to the other half`s which remain upon the sprue. This avoids me losing them upon the floor. I am working throughout the night. So Mrs B,is peacefully in slumber so cannot help if the darn things end up upon the floor.
I cannot bend to pick them up.
So once I need them I know exactly where they are.

Ironic this kit was bought in the City,and as you can see one Part of the Tank did not run.

It should look like that one below.



Another Mk VI Tank to do then I can get stuck into the 6 German Armoured Half- Tracks and 4 Cars,and 6 more Marder Self Propelled Guns,and six Tiger Tanks.

I submitted my request to them,and it was very slow in going to them.
A tiny ring going around and around for ages."

"When it finally went after 5 or 6 minutes,a copy of about 50 of the same e-mail appeared as mail sent."
