as the year nears its winding down end.

I bought lots of Balsa for next years projects.



Balsa Wood two packs: sixteen sheets 18" X 4" X 1/16th,
ideal for scratch-buildings and rooftop designs and pattern making for rubber moulds.
One must always have a good stash supply ready, and waiting for that unexpected idea to become a reality before it disappears from mindful view. BB

I hunted high and low and finally found a Balsa Stripper! I wasted an awful lot of time because I had thought it to be a Balsa Cutter. I was prepared to make one, but now I do not.
This stripper can cut tiny widths of Balsa,and also paper card. A must for boat builders,and other scratch builders alike. I will use it for cutting beams and small shingles by the hundreds. It cost £9.45.
When placed upon the edge of a sheet of Balsa,it can be easily slid down the entire length cutting a strip off really quick. This will certainly save me so much time.



A Guillotine for cutting balsa lengths and angles, which I picked up cheap at £15.75.
They are £40.00 on Model Hobbies. Again this will be used to cut roofing shingle.





Lollypop Sticks,and Balsa Wood Dowells, these are for the Palisade on the Asterix Village build.
Real soft wood and neat cool tools to cut it. All bought from AMAZON. BB

There was a local stripclub in my town (run by the pistolshooting association?!?!?! ) and my band was contacted to play. We never played, but we went there two times for negotiations. I don't remember what the membership costed, but entry for members was 500 SEK (about 50€) and one alcoholfree beer costed 40 SEK (about 4€). But since we were there for negotiations we didn't pay any entrance and drank coffee (which was free). And the dancers .... well, nothing exciting. And the negotiations came to nothing and just as well.

Yes just as well indeed Gunnar,you could`ve ended up wearing concrete boots
at the bottom of some very cold Lake in your area.
Perhaps near Remco`s Steaming Ice-Cream Factory!

I will be extra careful with that slicer and guillotine,iIt has wicked blades fit well to chop off a poor bumbling guys finger. So me mitts which carry many a battle scar of former intrepid adventures, will stay way clear of that Chopper! BB

i used one today and with great effect achieved. BB

I was surprised to find no safety guard on this tool. It took ages to jiffle a blade into place so i wanted to leave it in as long as possible.
Mainly picking it up without due care could result in cutting ones fingers.
For safety a simple tight fitting plastic sleeve slipped onto ,and over the blade would hardly cost anything to produce with this piece of light work load kit.

So i decided to make a guard myself,but then realised i had some very strong metal clamps.



So i used a very large one,to make handeling this tool safely.
As the tool is primed for action it lives in a cardboard box as you see it. Stay safe. BB
