Recomendations for a good photo host?

Posted by Bessiere on 09 Nov 2022, 22:56

I'm willing to pay for a good host but $90 for a year is more than I care to pay. Can anyone recommend something better than postimg? Some of the pics I posted there no longer show up here while others still do. Time to bite the bullet I suppose.
Thanks,

Hello Mr B.

I use Postimage who are excellent and so far free.

Best wishes,

Chris

Thank you kind sir. Perhaps it's my browser or the fact I'm in the US but it's not working right for me. Firefox isn't supported any more so it could be that.
Cheers,

Dear Bessiere,

I'm sure there is an alternative to your Postimage provider at $90 a year. I use Imgur (imgur.com) to post here at Bennos and this seems to work well, is easy to use and - so far at least - remains free.

I'm also using Imgur and it works fine. Been using Photobucket and Tinypics before and, weeell, they don't work that well anymore.

Gosh! please, never pay for a photo hosting! first of all, they last as much as the free ones, which means that any day they can disappear and you lose your photos plus your money.

I recommend you Google Photos. I use it through Blogger, the best thing in my opinion is that you create a blog (free, 5 minutes) and you post there your images, you get a very large free allowance. I have been using the system for about 10 years now, and at least, seems as stable and standing as google itself!

Imgbb.com

Is the one I use, it's free, it works with Firefox, it's relatively simple to use, and despite quite a lot of images in there, it has a lot of capacity.

Thank you everyone for your input. Yesterday I kept getting 503 server busy service unavailable messages and today some images show up on their website yet others still don't. Maybe they're DDOS attack but if it doesn't change I'll be giving your recommendations a try. Much obliged to you all.
Cheers,
