What kind of undercoat did you use? A good undercoat should stop flaking from happening.

Don't do that.

Acrylic paint is far less sturdy as enamels and can't handle such rough handling.

If you have finished painting your fig , you can cover it with transparent acrylic colour-but even if you use a matt one, there is a bit of a glossy shine afterwards

Made in rubber plastic? Then you need a very good undercoat after cleaning them!

Peter´s right.
Hence my question about which set. That "plastic" They´ve been asking similar questions like this on the hat site...loads of ideas there. :-)

It won't dry normally with enamels because these new soft plastics are especially designed for acrylic paints (or so mrs. Jones told us).

What to do is this:

- cut the figures from the sprue and remove any excess plastic
- bath the figures is mildly warm water with dish soap
- use acrylic spray paint (from Games Workshop for example) to prime the figures
- then use acrylic paint to paint the figures
- if necessary when finished with painting, apply an acrylic based varnish to protect the paint

This should get you nicely painted figures.
